Matthew's '76 Mini Cooper was designed and built by Kenn Lively, who curated extensive work to make it an outstanding road car that is a pleasure to drive.

  This classic Mini has a 1998 MPi injection engine with 20 over Hepolite slipper pistons (1293cc), a Swiftune SW5-07 Camshaft, Duplex chain kit, race lifters and oil pump. It also has a Keith Calver GT spec head, a 52mm throttle body, Titan roller rockers (1.5 lift), MED steel pushrods and injection clutch kit with the ultralight flywheel, turbo clutch plate, and steel center, heavy duty clutch cover. The exhaust system is a Maniflow injection exhaust header with bespoke Magnaflow system with catalytic converter (both exhaust and intake manifolds have been Jet Hot coated). There is an optional Oil cooler installed, as well as an oversize bespoke high capacity radiator running Evans coolent. A KAD Quick shift has also been installed as well as a K and N intake filter.
As with all MPi motors, this one has an immobilizer.

     The Sports Pack body has been upgraded with an electric Webasto multi-position programmable glass sunroof, leather Recaro seats (with drivers side adjustable lumbar support and arm rest). Bringing it into the 21st century, Electric door locks and electric windows have been installed, as well as a Panasonic CQ-C800U CD receiver with wired iPod connection (iPod classic). 2 Kicker 6X9 speakers in rear panel shelf, and Kicker 5.25" speakers in special door pockets round out the stereo.

  The light alloy Compomotive CXR 6.5 X 13" wheels are shod with Pirelli P5000s in front and Maxxis Vectra Z1s on the rear.  For a more cush ride and excellent handling, a Fortech coil spring conversion, with Hi Lo adjustable trumpets and KYB AGX twin tube adjustable shocks/dampers have been installed, as well as Fortech front and rear Anti-sway bars. A comfortable go kart!

A couple of cosmetic touches include Carbon fiber bumpers, headlight rims and mirror covers.
